APAC Design Lead | Development Beyond Learning

As the APAC Lead Designer, I led the end-to-end design of graduate, manager, and leadership development programs for global clients across banking, mining, defence, government, and technology sectors in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. My work focused on translating workforce capability needs into impactful, values-aligned learning experiences that empower early-career talent and people leaders to thrive in a fast-evolving world of work.
I played a key role in shaping clients’ learning design strategies through combining evidence-based design with behavioural insights, digital learning tools, and human-centred approaches to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Learning Design Leadership: Led the regional implementation of DBL’s global learning design strategy, collaborating with the COO (Product Lead) to contextualise global solutions for the APAC region.
• Capability & Program Design: Designed bespoke learning journeys for graduates and managers by integrating organisational values, competency frameworks, and future-of-work trends (e.g., Gen Z expectations, hybrid working, skills of the future).
• Client Partnership & Advisory: Partnered with senior stakeholders across mining, defence, banking, and government sectors to define L&D needs, conduct diagnostics, and co-create solutions tailored to business strategy and workforce challenges.
• Diagnostics & Assessment Integration: Applied psychometric and diagnostic tools—such as StrengthsFinder, VIA Character Strengths, Hogan, DiSC, and 360 Feedback—to personalise learning pathways and build self-awareness in learners.
• Evidence-Based Learning Evaluation: Built success metrics and evaluation frameworks to measure program impact and continuously improve outcomes.
• Digital Ecosystem Integration: Embedded learning within client ecosystems by designing digital, blended, and face-to-face modalities using platforms such as AI learning tools, Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate 360, and Vyond.
• Product Development & Innovation: Led the design, evaluation, and curation of DBL’s global product library—including learning modules, playbooks, toolkits, and virtual sessions—ensuring alignment with evolving client needs and learning science.
• Team & Vendor Enablement: Briefed and supported a network of internal and contract designers to ensure quality and consistency of outputs; developed design processes, templates, and QA protocols to uphold design standards.
• Facilitation & Thought Leadership: Delivered high-impact behavioural skills sessions for internal teams and clients, contributing to thought leadership in areas such as growth mindset, leadership conversations, and resilience.
